AXMINSTER: Axe Valley Community College to launch Minster Challenge run

AXE Valley Community College has announced that it will launch the Minster Challenge this year.

The Minster Challenge is a running race which will be held in Axminster on Sunday, October 7th as a fundraiser for two college departments.

The run comes in two distances; a seven-mile undulating multi terrain course for those aged 17 and over; and a three-mile cub course for the 11 to 16-year-olds as well as less experienced runners.

Co-organiser Diane Roberts said: “On the day it is proposed there will be refreshments, a performance from the school steel band, a majorettes display and hose downs from the local fire brigade.

“The run is the first of many events to raise money and this time it will benefit the PE and music departments.”
